Harmon Rye - FS 1111

This trail meanders through sections of the Oconee National Forest, providing visitors with an immersive experience of the region’s natural landscape. Approximately halfway along the route, there is a quarter-mile stretch bordered by private property on both sides; visitors are advised to respect these boundaries and avoid trespassing. The road surface consists mainly of gravel with areas of dirt and mud, including occasional water puddles, mud holes, and minor washouts, which may vary in size and depth depending on recent weather conditions. Despite these features, the drive is generally smooth and accessible to drivers of varying skill levels and vehicle types. The trail offers a relaxed pace for enjoying scenic views of rolling hills, dense forests, and the potential to observe native wildlife. Access is limited to licensed, street-legal vehicles to ensure safety and protect the trail’s natural environment.
