Trail Overview
This out-and-back trail follows an easy, single-lane dirt road that winds through scenic sections of the Chattahoochee National Forest. The route is slightly narrow in places, so light pinstriping from overgrown vegetation is possible. Along the way, you’ll encounter a few minor washouts and several larger mud puddles, which may vary in depth depending on recent weather conditions. Most high-clearance vehicles should be able to navigate the trail without difficulty. At the end of the trail, there is no designated turnaround area, which can make maneuvering difficult—especially for larger groups traveling together—so plan accordingly. The area is quiet and remote, with minimal traffic and peaceful natural surroundings that make for an enjoyable drive or exploration. Cell phone service is sporadic or unavailable, so it’s recommended to plan ahead and bring any necessary supplies in case of an emergency.
Difficulty
