Trail Overview

S85 is a moderately challenging route in the northern Blackwater River State Forest area. Along the trail, drivers will encounter several creek crossings that add a technical element to the journey. Some crossings can exceed 24 inches in depth, providing a fun challenge for those looking for more than a casual drive. Conditions can change quickly, especially after heavy rainfall. During wet periods, water levels may rise significantly, and some crossings may exceed 5 feet in depth. Drivers should always use caution, check conditions beforehand, and be prepared for changing trail conditions.
