Trail Overview

If you start from the north entrance gate, the trail starts as old pavement with large potholes and portions of the pavement missing. After a few miles of this, it does turn to a gravel/dirt surface. There are plenty of camping spots along this route and chances to see wildlife. You can access this trail year-round with any type of vehicle. Keep in mind there is a small fee to pay for use of the area, but with all the spur roads off this main route, it is money well spent.

Pretty trail, recommend going early in the am after rain for best conditions and wildlife. Saw osprey, alligators, snakes, turkeys etc. Lots of pot holes so watch your speed. Many offshoots but I was solo and not clear on the rules and regs so I didn’t try any. No coverage in spots, download maps ahead of time.

This trail was mostly paved, nothing to write home about. There are some large potholes but you can navigate around them. Saw a stocked minivan doing the trail.

Although the main trail is a little beat up, there was some gorgeous scenery, plenty of wildlife and an abundance of side trails to explore.

This section of Corbett is a paved trail with 75% smooth asphalt and 25% with noticeable ruts. It has speed bumps before and after each campsite. Note if you go south into the South Grade Trail, there are Low Water Crossings which may be impassable if you are towing anything or have an extremely long wheelbase.

A couple small mud holes from recent rain but fairly dry and the low water crossing was bone dry.

Dry and dusty. The road is hard packed or paved in some areas with large potholes and/or deteriorated sections. It’s a nice area to explore. Many campsites along the way.

Beautiful area. A lot of wildlife everywhere. However, not sure why this is marked as a blue trail. It is a paved road.
