Trail Overview

Goethe Circle is a beautiful ride through some open land combined with some heavily wooded areas. It is surrounded by some amazing views and many different types of wildlife. The terrain will vary from sand to mud. It is a nice drive for a variety of vehicles

Difficulty

Most of the water crossings are very shallow and most of the sand is soft. Expect some sugar sand and some mud holes.

Closed gate … others went around .. pretty muddy trail with some long water deeper water crossings at the northern loop .. caution advised

The trail from 326 going south the gate is closed. We came up from the south end (near the boardwalk )and it was open only to discover a locked gate at 326. The trail on the north side of 326 through the woods aka the good part is closed to vehicles at this time.

We went on starting from the south after some morning rain. Most of it was hard-packed, sand or gravel, but a few sections were definitely pretty muddy. The posted trail took us to places that were gated off, so we had to navigate using just the regular road signs. All in all a great and fun ride.

The majority of the trail is hard packed forestry roads with some small water crossing and a fair bit of potholes. when you get to the northern section, you'll find the trail gets a bit more technical with some medium ruts, mud, and longer water crossings. After rain storms, recovery gear may be necessary. Be prepared for some mild pin striping.
