Trail Overview

This is a nice scenic leisurely loop through Pinewood flats and wetland/marsh areas. The trail is evenly graded limestone material, that can be loose and unraveled in some portions of the trail. The trail width varies, but most of the trail is wide enough for two vehicles. This trail does pass through numerous wetland/marsh areas and can be subject to washes, flooding or ponding water deeper than 12 inches. This trail is located within the Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management Area (WMA) managed by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission (FWC). A fee of $3 per person or $6 per vehicle for daily use is required. FWC provides a self-service "Check Station" located approximately 1 mile to the west of Seminole Grade. This "Check Station", which is a wood information board and an iron post. Trail access is allowed year around, but is limited only to registered On-Highway vehicles.

Difficulty

This is a rocky road, typically unmaintained after rain events. Water crossings and obstacles under 12 inches can be encountered on the trail, including small ledges. Shoulders are soft dirt/mud. Roads are typically one to two vehicles wide.
