Trail Overview

Trail 16 is right off S Pleasant Grove Rd and includes the Mutual Mine Campground. You can expect lots of Mud, Clay, and Sandy spots throughout the trail. This trail leads you across the entire Wildlife Management Area from East to West giving you easy access to branch off onto several trails. There may be some spots where mud holes are not easily avoidable during the rainy season. The cellphone service is good enough to make phone calls and send texts if needed.

I don’t know why people keep marking these trails as moderate, but ALL of Citrus WMA can be done in 2wd. There is nothing moderate and no “trail” out here should be marked above a 2 rating. As long as you aren’t an idiot and have basic driving skills and are capable of making good decisions, Citrus is no different than your local Walmart parking lot. The folks that make Citrus out to be something it isn’t are the ones driving around the place like they are on a remote 8 month long expedition through the Amazon. You don’t need extra gas cans and a 10 year supply of food and water, there’s a RaceTrac 10 minutes away.

Easy trail, bypasses and little hills to the north are a little rutted but no biggie. This trail did dead end into no vehicle area 1/4 mile NW.
