Upper Johnson Gulch Rd (FS300)

Upper Johnson Gulch Rd (FS300) is rated easy because most of the trail is made up of manageable dirt two-track with mild hill climbs, rolling humps, and only light rutting. A high-clearance 4x4 is still recommended because the trail gets narrow in spots, has a few uneven washouts, and includes tight turns where lower vehicles may drag or struggle with breakover clearance. The route does not have major rock obstacles, deep ledges, or highly technical sections, so the main challenges are careful tire placement, avoiding pinstriping, and staying controlled through the tighter forested areas.
