Uncle Charlie

Uncle Charlie is an easy two-track through oak brush, aspen trees, and pines through the San Juan National Forest. It remains accessible throughout the route, making it an excellent trail for newer riders. The surface is hard-packed dirt and an extensive path, more like an old road. It goes through a couple of gates that you must open and close and through rock pinch points to prevent vehicles wider than 50". There are a few embedded rocks here and there, but it's mostly smooth and grassy for the entire 2.3 miles. The north end starts on Beaver Meadows Road and gradually climbs to First Notch Road.
