Several washes. A great trail for a 50” machine. We took on the trail in several Polaris Sportsman’s and a Polaris Ace. No complaints. Trail has a steep incline towards the top and several larger rockier areas at the bottom. A beautiful trail that truly feels like an adventure. We only saw hunters on the trail. The lack of sxs and jeeps keep the trail quiet and gives a remote feel you don’t get on the alpine loop. We found that coming from Lake City there is a fantastic loop you can make by going up Stoney Pass to Animus Forks and over Cinnamon Pass. Making the day a long one at just over 80 miles.

Rode from south to north. Trail is fairly slick but has been cleared. Right north of the pass as you drop down into Carson road there is one large and a few smaller snow plugs. Probably needs another week or two of natural melt. Surprising but guess it hasn’t melted fast with all the clouds/rain.

Trail is quite a bit rougher than just a month ago. Recent rains have uncovered more of the rocks forcing more off camber lines. In a 50” SxS.

4 dudes, Africa Twin, Tenere 700 and two 300 Rallys. Rode North to South, awesome trail, difficult on big bikes, rainy, muddy, dropping bikes often, good time, gorgeous scenery, will return to hike or with 50” sxs

The creek is running high and fast. There are several downed trees north of the second water crossing, if coming from Stony pass Rd. Impassable by sxs or ATV. doable on a bike, but not great. Need chainsaw.
