Little Red Trail

Little Red Trail is a short trail (1.5 miles) in the Uncompahgre National Forest that connects Little Red Road to the Aspen single-track trail. It only has a couple of notable sections of moderate difficulty but is mostly an easy-to-intermediate trail. It drops down to a switchback and has a few small ledges created from roots running across the trail. Then it traverses along the side of a gradual hill and runs elevated above a small creek gulch into an open meadow. There are some embedded rocks you have to pay attention to. It crosses a tiny creek at the bottom and switchbacks up the next hillside with a couple of large sweeping switchbacks. This section is wide and seems like an old road. The south end dumps out on Little Red Road. From north to south, the trail has about 150 feet of elevation gain, and 350 feet of elevation loss, so it's relatively flat throughout the trail.
