Hi-Wire Road

This is a unique trail that follows a series of high voltage lines across the open plains at the foot of the southern end of the Sawatch Range. While there are no major obstacles, this trail can become extremely muddy during rain or snow, so use caution if the weather is expected. At the terminus of this trail is a plot of private property that requires a turnaround, but it is still well worth the journey. As you ride across the plain, you'll see sweeping views of the surrounding peaks and are likely to encounter large groups of wild antelope.
