Trail Overview

Fossett Gulch Road - FS 613 is a forest service dirt road that begins right off of Highway 160. It is approximately 26 miles west on Highway 160 from downtown Pagosa Springs. There is an area right at the beginning of the road for parking and unloading. The road is very well maintained. There are cattle guards in several locations. The road has multiple blind turns and is an access road to several off-road trails, so be careful as you enter the blind turns because there can be UHV, ATV, or motorcycles not paying attention as they make the turn. This road is an access road for the Little Bull Shoals Trail and the Bull Shoals Trail. Please note that at approximately mile 7.5, the road turns into Southern Ute land, and there is no public access. At the end of this road is the entrance to the Little Bull Shoals Trail, which will be on your right. Do not proceed past this point, as there is no public access.
