Trail Overview

Eagle Ridge is a short single track in the Flat Top - Peach Valley recreation area on adobe clay soil. It's a series of hill climbs and descents up and down big adobe hills in this badlands-like terrain. There are 3 really steep hill climbs and descents in the beginning, and the rest of it is more gradual and less steep. The single track keeps going on top of an adobe ridge line the whole way. It isn't too narrow; even road width at times with lots of whoops. This is one of the first trails from the Elephant Skin staging area, so it sees higher use and has lots of whoops. The trail is signed at the intersection with King Ditch and ends at an ATV trail. There are no difficult obstacles, and the trail itself is smooth with no rocks, but you must be comfortable with steep climbs, downhills, and heights. Keep the momentum on the climbs, and smooth steady braking on the downhill to avoid locking up the tires. From the top of the ridge line, you'll have views of the whole badlands and distant snow-capped mountains.

Difficulty

The difficulty comes from the steep adobe hill climbs and narrow trail on the ridge lines, but the trail itself is smooth with no rocks and no obstacles.
