Trail Overview

This route climbs from Pass Creek into the surrounding foothills, providing excellent views of the Sawatch Range and the rugged peaks that dominate the horizon. As the trail gains elevation, travelers are rewarded with increasingly expansive vistas of the valley below and the surrounding mountain landscape. The road itself is generally straightforward, but just note that the beginning of the route includes a small water crossing that may present a challenge for some vehicles, particularly during periods of high water or after heavy rainfall. Beyond these obstacles, the trail offers an enjoyable drive through scenic mountain terrain and serves as a great option for those looking to explore the quieter areas surrounding Taylor Park Reservoir.
