Trail Overview

BLM trails 5672 and 5669 comprise a single road through what is known locally as BURMAC, providing access to critical local bike and hike trails. Plentiful opportunities for dispersed camping exist along the road, as well as parking for trailheads. BLM 5672C is a short spur providing a generous overview of an area known as Castle Gardens. Only used previously disturbed and designated camping areas. Pack out what is packed in.

Difficulty

There is moderate loose and chunky rock throughout, and some short areas where grades are steeper and loose, though four-wheel drive is not entirely necessary. The trail is subject to weather conditions year-round.
