Trail Overview

Gramps is a fun and easy ATV trail in the Rampart Range Recreation Area that has small features that are slightly more challenging such as a few rocks, a steeper climb, and lots of troughed-out sections. The trail is pretty wide for the most part, riding through a pine tree forest with massive whoops in sections. It rides along the top of a ridgeline for a bit, then drops down deeper into the forest and climbs back up. It has lots of curves with banked corners and a few embedded rocks and roots here and there. The hardest part of the trail is when it climbs up through some really troughed-out sections. Watch your line to make sure you don't get stuck in the ruts. You can take this to bail out back to the beginner trail if riding the first segment of the Turtle Mountain single track. The east end of the trail starts on Rampart Range Road, and the west end intersects with Cabin Ridge.
