Trail Overview

This road climbs steeply up the hill, eventually terminating at a medium-sized turnout that offers a view of Lake Tahoe. The majority of the route is characterized by loose rocks (less than 12 inches) and rides as a solid Grade 2. However, a couple of short sections featuring larger rocks bump the overall difficulty up to a Grade 3. The turnout at the end holds potential for dispersed camping, though there are currently no fire pits or established signs of camping. It is an absolutely beautiful spot!

Difficulty

While most of the climb is a straightforward Grade 2 on loose rock under 12 inches, the steep pitch combined with a few distinct sections of larger rocks and off-camber ruts earns this trail a definite Level 3 rating. High clearance is necessary.
