Trail Overview

Sidewinder OHV Trail offers a balanced mix of challenge and flow, making it great for intermediate riders looking to sharpen their skills without the relentless punishment of more advanced routes. This trail is marked for dirt bikes and ATVs only; however, some sections are really tight, and an ATV might not make it easily. The trail winds its way along the hillsides in the upper section above Staging Area #2 of the Rowher Flats OHV area, delivering a ride that's as scenic as it is engaging. The terrain features a steady blend of moderately loose dirt, small rock sections, and occasional ruts that keep riders attentive without overwhelming them. The trail's signature characteristic is its smooth, winding path--true to its name, Sidewinder snakes along the contours of the hill, with sweeping turns and gradual elevation changes that let you maintain a good flow. It can be a little technical in spots, but generally forgiving, making it ideal for seasoned beginner riders looking to level up. Sidewinder offers a trail that highlights the rugged beauty of Rowher Flats. As it hugs the hillside, the trail offers consistent views across rolling terrain dotted with low brush, native grasses, and scattered rock formations. Riders are frequently treated to panoramic glimpses of the surrounding valleys and distant ridgelines, especially along exposed sections where the trail cuts narrowly across the slope.
