Trail Overview
This short connector trail offers a scenic and efficient route between Highway 89 and Leviathan Bypass or Big Springs Road East, making it a useful shortcut for those navigating the area. Access is possible from either Highway 89 or the Leviathan Bypass trail. The track is one vehicle wide and weaves through an open meadow filled with sagebrush, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges—including a clear sightline to the Leviathan Lookout Tower. The trail is calm, with soft dirt and sandy stretches, and almost no rocky terrain. Its open character and gentle terrain make it especially enjoyable during golden hour or in the fall when the colors pop.
Difficulty
This is a beginner-friendly route with no technical challenges. The dirt and sandy surface is smooth and easily passable in dry conditions with any high-clearance vehicle. It may become slightly slick after heavy rain, but it remains manageable without 4WD. Ideal for sightseeing, casual exploring, or linking nearby trails with ease.
