Oyster Shell Wash

Easy wash trail through narrow in spots canyon; mostly sand with a few rocks and some tight turns. Small, relatively level, camping spot at end of trail in a box canyon with a decent turnaround loop. Room for 2 vehicles comfortably.

Open and in good condition. A few tight corners with soft sand and maybe one or two spots with rocks that would need to be avoided by AWD SUVs. This trail is a 2, but there is a section to get here on the north fork of fish creek that was harder than anything in fish creek up to that point. The wash ends at a cool canyon you can hike back into. I didnt see any oyster shells though. A nice, worthwhile side trip from Fish Creek.

Trail was wash and rocky, parts of trail covered where cliff caved. I did make it a little bit more fun by taking alternate routes on the trail that weren’t quite trails those were a 5 lol but the rest of this 2
