Trail Overview

The trail starts at the north end with hard pack dirt road passing through an open meadow before coming to a massive open, dispersed camping area with many fire rings. It then continues south until it links up with the old railroad grade. This section is a "choose your own adventure" area as one could run the grade itself or the trail that parallels the old grade. The grade itself has sharp larger rocks, while the side trail can be muddy, washed out, and steep transitions. Then the trail links up with the new tracks and follows along with them for a time. Passing another dispersed camping area. That at the time of writing had a porta-potty style toilet. There is 1 bar Verizon LTE service in and out.

Difficulty

Mostly easy with some steep transitions, sandy sections, and whoops from time to time.
