Trail Overview

Ground clearance isn't much of a concern, but there are a lot of sharp rocks, so passenger car tires will not do. This is a good side trip to other trails in the area. Vehicles with better ground clearance can continue past the mine and explore trails to complete a loop back to Hawthorne-Fletcher road using Maybelle Mine Road.

Trail matches Trail description. It's Dusty bananas Dusty as other roads attached. Probably more cuz you're going a little slower with the rocks. Another nice Trail with lots of nice views of the surrounding mountains.

Drove it the whole way from Walker River Basin to the Bridgeport Resivoir. Road/trail is steep and a little loose in some places but not bad.

We got sooo close…..but had to circle back and go the other route to Bodie….amazing scenery and driving through snow flurries just added to the fun.

Awesome trail with old mines, the beginning is open with no snow, You can actually ride almost until the end of Masonic trail and where the connection is with bodie trail at Upper Town (about 7500ft) the snow was too deep so we turn around and camped in The Elbow.
