Trail Overview

This route runs parallel to Highway 395, winding back and forth through open meadows lined with bushes. The trail offers beautiful views of Crater Lake, Mono Lake, Reverse Peak, and the Eastern Sierra range, including the June Lake ski resort throughout the journey. The trail steadily climbs 300 feet in just under 3 miles, providing consistent scenic vistas of the diverse Eastern Sierra landscape. It is a shortcut from Highway 395 to the Oh Ridge area.

Difficulty

This trail earns a low difficulty rating with its mostly sandy and smooth surface featuring the occasional rock to avoid, along with a few washboards and some whoops. Cool little trail that drops you right onto the 395 south if taken from June lake. Only tricky part was a large rocky section that definitely required some high clearance.
