Trail Overview

Hull Mountain is a dominant peak and rises over 5,000 feet above Lake Pillsbury in the southwest part of the Mendocino National Forest. This is a beautiful area for camping and other recreational activities. Relatively easy mountain roads take you on a journey deep into the wilds of the back country, all the way to the summit rubble of Hull Mountain.

Clear, easy drive in a high roof AWD Sprinter van. Closer to the top of the mountain there are some off-camber ruts that are 2-3’ deep, but the roads are wide enough that you can fully avoid them. The bottom 3/4 of the trail is in great shape.
