Trail Overview
This narrow, fine-dirt trail begins from a difficult-to-see entrance directly off the highway, so use caution when entering or exiting. The trailhead has parking for approximately four to five vehicles. The route descends the hillside with 4–6 inch ruts, frequent rock gardens, and rock ledges reaching 6–8 inches tall. Fallen trees create several tight sections with little room for vehicles to pass, and the loose dirt can become more difficult when wet. The route provides scenic hillside views despite being close to the highway. Farther along, the trail is blocked by the land manager, and vehicles cannot continue beyond that point. Multiple signs remind visitors to stay on the designated trail, so please respect all posted restrictions.
Difficulty
This trail is rated Level 2 because of the 4–6 inch ruts, frequent rock gardens, 6–8 inch ledges, and tight sections around fallen trees. There are no major technical obstacles, but careful maneuvering is required in several areas.
