Trail Overview
This fine-dirt trail begins directly off the main paved highway, where fast-moving traffic makes caution important when entering or exiting. The trailhead has parking for approximately 12 vehicles. The route descends the hillside with minor 2–4 inch ruts, and although several large fallen trees partially block the trail, there is enough room to drive around them. The loose dirt can become more difficult when wet. Camping is plentiful and scenic along the route. Around 0.8 miles, a shaded cliffside campsite accommodates up to eight vehicles with expansive views. Another site around 1.4 miles accommodates four vehicles with level ground, shade, and a fire ring. A large cliffside campsite farther along accommodates up to 12 vehicles with level ground, plenty of shade, and multiple fire rings.
Difficulty
This trail is rated Level 2 because of the 2–4 inch ruts and occasional fallen trees requiring minor maneuvering. There are no significant technical obstacles, making it a relatively easy and scenic route under dry conditions.
