Trail Overview

FS 3S109 is a forested trail that helps link several other trails in the area. Although it is listed for ATVs and dirt bikes, some sections are narrow enough that I would recommend it for dirt bikes rather than ATVs. The trail winds between trees and offers a useful connection for exploring the surrounding network. There is one small log crossing, but no major obstacle along the route.

Difficulty

This is a relatively easy trail with no major technical sections, but narrow portions of the trail would be difficult for ATVs. The typical Mammoth pumice can feel loose under your tires, especially through turns, but the trail is generally manageable. One very small log crosses the trail and can be rolled over with basic bike control.
