Trail Overview
FS 3S108C is a wider forest trail that the U.S. Forest Service designates for ATVs, making it more accessible to them than the nearby narrow singletracks. Just past the second corner, a rock garden mixes deep pumice with rocks buried beneath the surface, creating the trail’s main challenge. Beyond it, the soft, sandy trail runs downhill in one direction and becomes an uphill climb when ridden the other way. Most beginners with good bike control should be able to navigate it. This route also connects with nearby trails, making it useful for building a loop into the area’s main trail network.
Difficulty
3S108C is generally an easy trail. The usual soft Mammoth pumice can make traction feel loose, and the small rock garden is the main technical section. Some rocks are partly buried in the pumice, so pick a line and keep a steady pace. Beyond that, there are no major obstacles.
