Trail Overview

This narrow, fine-dirt trail travels north through open terrain with expansive 360° views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Expect 5–6-inch ruts, frequent whoops, and heavy washboards that can be difficult to see against the substrate. Overgrown vegetation may cause pinstriping on wider vehicles. Several level campsites appear within the first few hundred yards, with fire rings, room for up to five vehicles, and excellent views. Around 1.5 miles, Crowley Lake becomes visible and remains a scenic backdrop. Around 3 miles, a hill climb over soft, sandy terrain makes the route unsuitable for trailers. At least 12 inches of front-end clearance is recommended.
