Trail Overview

This user-maintained trail is a great option if you want to escape the busier campgrounds around the lake and find a quieter place to spend time. The route is surprisingly beautiful and generally accessible, with one shallow dip you’ll need to navigate carefully. A Sprinter van was parked at the end of the trail, suggesting that a range of vehicles can make it through under suitable conditions. The trail forms a circular route and ends at a lovely campsite, making it a good choice for those seeking a more secluded spot away from the crowds. Although the route is relatively straightforward, conditions can change, so take care through the dip and watch for any uneven ground. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid California ATV Operating Permit sticker.
