Forest Service Road 3S22

This feeder trail branches off the Mammoth Scenic Loop about 2 miles from Highway 395, or can be accessed from Inyo Crater Dry Creek Spur or FS4S104. The route is relatively flat and runs through a tall pine forest, much of which has been impacted by fire, with many trees still in recovery. Recent thinning work has opened the understory, creating a healthier forest environment. The surface is mostly hard-packed dirt with some gravel, generally smooth, though a few corners show light rutting. This trail serves as a connector to many spur trails and is part of the larger Mammoth to June Loop.
