Trail Overview

This is a lightly traveled, narrow dirt road with steep grades. It's one vehicle wide with places to pass. Uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks and erosion leaves you staring over the edge of huge drops to rocky cliffs. There are potential water crossings up to a foot or more deep, mud holes, and obstacles up to 18inches, including ledges and tight turns.

Nice trail with lots of great views of the Kern River. A few shallow creek crossings and deep ruts. Lots of vegetation so be prepared for a few pinstripes. A few gates were closed so just be respectful and leave them how you found them.

South to North run. Dry all the way except for three small spring crossings. Agree with previous ratings, not a technical route, but the pucker factor is definitely there. Shelf route at least half the trail. Take your time, reset the gates, respect the trail. ✌🏻

Went on a rainy day in and F250. There was one boulder obstructing the trail, but I was able to get around it with a few inches of clearance. This trail is not for you if you're afraid of heights!

easier then I thought it would be. it is a shelf road. could be kinda scary for some people. couple of water crossing not nothing crazy. we used a 4x2 truck. so its not a difficult trail. very beautiful and fun. kinda a long trial. took us 4 hr to pass though. highly recommend for people getting into trailing.

This is a fun trail which gets pretty tight in spots requiring driver’s attention. Took us about 2 hours to complete starting from Breckenridge Rd and ending at Hwy 178. It is a shelf road so if you don’t like shelf roads, you may consider skipping this one. Had to open and close 3 gates and did have some light pinstripes due to the vegetation.

Awesome trail! Fun easy drive with creek crossings and canopies of trees! Some parts need more attention from the driver but other than that was a great time!

Not as bad as I thought it be, any normal suv could easily make it. One muddy bad spot but other than that it was an easy trial but narrow but easy. Did all of it with a front wheel drive Jeep renegade didn’t have 4 wheel drive and didn’t need it!

Finished trail from start to finish, some gates were closed but I opened and closed them as I crossed. It was narrow! but okay if you don’t mind some scratches.

Started at the south side, Breckenridge Road. Once we got to the fork splits between the Stark non-motorized trail and the continuation of Cow Flat, the trail was fenced off by barbed wire and wood posts.

Amazing views. This one is pretty narrow so full size pickups be advised. A stock Jeep or mid siz pickup does great on this one. Some of those narrow parts next to steep drop offs are not for the faint of heart. Stay focused and you're golden.
