Trail Overview

Corn Springs Trail is a sand and gravel mix. This trail is a fun short trail that has a campground you can stay at, several side roads to explore, several areas to rock hound, many Petroglyphs, an old miners cabin and the remains of Aztec Wells.Please respect the old cabin and leave it as you found it.

Difficulty

This is an easy road with a mix of sand and gravel. Some of the offshoots from the road have deeper sand and could possibly need 4-wheel drive, but the main road is very easy.

The trail has been recently graded. It's pretty smooth.

The road from the freeway up to the campground is freshly bladed. Smooth easy ride to the campground. The trail beyond is fine, just not quite as smooth. The pit toilets at the campground are the cleanest, least smelly pit toilets I've ever been in.

I was actually on this trail the 26th of April and it was an in and back out trail for the Monster. It is a fun exploration trail. You’re driving along and all of a sudden you have green vegetation and palm trees. Behind this area is a camp ground. As you get beyond the campground area is an old house then a little farther in is another old homestead and the trail narrows too much for the Monster to keep going. Would love to come back when I have no worries about pinstripes in the truck, and take this trail even further back in. Enjoy!
