Trail Overview
The Copper Mountain Trail is a scenic, moderately rough two-track that winds through pine forest and open high-country terrain, offering expansive views and a peaceful escape from more crowded off-road areas. It's a one-lane route with rocky and somewhat bumpy surfaces, but no true obstacles, making it suitable for high-clearance vehicles and stock 4x4s.The drive includes tight turns among trees, with occasional narrow sections that require slow, careful navigation. While the trail never gets so tight as to risk paint damage, drivers of wider rigs should still stay alert through the twistier wooded portions. Dispersed campsites are tucked along the way, especially in forested patches, offering shaded and secluded options for overnight stays. The payoff comes in the form of incredible panoramic views from various clearings and ridgelines along the route--especially stunning during early morning or late golden hour.
