Clover Meadow - FS 5S005

This is a short and fast forest service access road that is the final stretch to the popular Fernandez Pass / Walton trailhead. This same trailhead also serves as an access point along the longer California Riding and Hiking Trail. The road is a smooth, wide gravel/dirt track designed for easy transit. This entire route is in the 2020 Creek Fire burn scar (visible in photos)—the views are vast, but the reminders of wildfire are evident. Especially in the burnt-out car still remaining at the trailhead five years later.
