Trail Overview
This trail runs along the western border of the Dove Springs OHV Open Riding Area, high above the canyon with sweeping views down into the main riding area. It serves as a primary feeder road to many of the popular hill climbs, ramps, and wall trails below, so expect frequent traffic and vehicles climbing up from below. The route follows a shelf road along the edge of the canyon, offering several excellent viewpoints to stop and take in the scenery. The trail includes a mix of uneven terrain with deep ruts, off-camber sections, and a few short hill climbs as it winds along the ridge. Drivers should remain alert for oncoming traffic and vehicles approaching from the hill climbs below.
Difficulty
This trail requires careful driving due to ruts, off-camber terrain, and exposure along the shelf road. A high clearance vehicle with 4x4 is recommended. Drivers should be comfortable with uneven terrain and sharing the trail with active OHV traffic.
