Trail Overview

This trail starts on Highway 2 and heads north toward the Coyote Mountains. The surface is fine sand with lots of whoops to test your suspension throughout, creating a bouncy, flowing ride. The trail is relatively flat, making navigation straightforward without major elevation changes. The route is lined with various desert brush and some ocotillo that seasonally bloom if you're lucky, adding color to the landscape. There are lots of mega power windmills in the area towering above as you navigate toward the mountains.

Difficulty

The fine sand requires momentum management, and airing down is recommended for better traction. The lots of whoops will test your suspension constantly and create a jarring ride, but they're not technically difficult on the relatively flat terrain. Four wheel drive is beneficial for the sandy conditions. The flat nature makes this an accessible route despite the challenging surface features.
