Trail Overview
Berry Creek is a 2.2-mile-long moderate dirt bike trail in the Mount Hough trail system. From the west end, it starts off flowy and flat along an old shelf, going through a shaded corridor. It crosses a small rocky dry ravine bottom, then goes up a couple of moderate switchbacks and gets pretty steep. There was a big rock shelf on the inside of one of the switchbacks that makes it more technical and more suited for more experienced riders. It gets pretty rocky after the switchbacks with more embedded rock on a steep slope. After the technical section, it continues along the hilltop between the manzanita shrubs on a flowy trail again. It mellows out on the hilltop as it connects to the Berry Creek Tie and then Hough Road (25N14).
Difficulty
This trail is intermediate because it has a couple more moderate rock features and technical switchbacks. Both ends of the trail are easier, while the middle portion is steeper and more difficult with the embedded rock in the switchbacks.
