Trail Overview
This very sandy trail winds through a wash, starting off at Pole Line Road South in an open area heavily used for dispersed camping. The route is one and a half to two and a half vehicles wide, providing good room for navigation and passing. You'll enjoy great views of the mountains throughout the journey. The landscape is relatively barren except for a few desert bushes scattered about, creating an open, minimalist environment. Despite the remote feel, there is very good cell reception available. You'll encounter washboards along the way that create a bumpy ride. The trail ends at Tarantula Wash with easy access to the highway,
Difficulty
This is an easy trail with the very sandy surface being the main consideration. Airing down is recommended for better traction and comfort. The washboards add some bouncing but aren't technically difficult. The wider trail width makes navigation comfortable, and the relatively flat terrain is straightforward. The good cell reception is a plus for this dispersed camping area.
