Trail Overview
This is a short but challenging dirt bike trail in the Miami OHV area. There are several rock features right away that will test the inexperienced rider. They are embedded rock ledges, but they are slightly ramped, and you can kind of skirt the edge of the rock to make it slightly easier. There are several drop-offs and stair steps throughout the trail from root bands and rock layers, plus a couple of narrow bridges that you have to cross over. Additionally, there are ruts and some mild exposure in a couple of narrow shelfy sections. It also has tight sections weaving between the manzanita trees. It’s only .8 miles long, but has steep sections throughout, gaining 350 feet of elevation from west to east. This one keeps you on your toes, but is definitely a fun challenge for those looking for a more engaging trail in the area.
Difficulty
This is an intermediate trail due to several larger rock obstacles that will require some experience to get up. This is rated as "Most Difficult" by the Forest Service, and is the hardest single track in the trail system.
