Trail Overview
Wildcat Hollow is an exceptionally scenic and highly accessible route perfect for beginners, families, and any four-wheel-drive vehicle looking to explore the beautiful northern boundary of the Ouachita National Forest. Stretching approximately 8.2 miles through the peaceful Arkansas woodlands just south of Highway 28, this maintained trail provides a relaxing escape with minimal technical challenges. The primary surface consists of loose gravel and dirt, making it easily navigable for standard passenger vehicles, high-clearance SUVs, and SxSs.
As the route winds through the dense forest, drivers will experience gentle elevation shifts, climbing from a low of 419 feet to a peak of 707 feet, with a modest cumulative gain of 548 feet. While dry conditions present a straightforward and occasionally dusty drive, wet weather can introduce muddy stretches and minor water crossings to test your traction. The track features a pleasant bridge crossing before ultimately terminating at the junction with Bluff Road, allowing for easy access to nearby towns or further offroad adventures in the surrounding valleys.

This route is located within the Ouachita National Forest.
