Trail Overview

This road starts out as a maintained road and then changes to an unmaintained "right of way" road through private land. It then changes back to a maintained dirt road. There is a sign where the unmaintained section starts that lists the names of the families who own land along the road. It is fairly easy but there are some large rocks, including rock shelves, you need to cross. It looks rarely traveled but it's fun and a good way to connect to more trails east of Mountainburg. This is all private land so there is no camping or getting off the trail. Please take care of it so we can keep it open.

Difficulty

The only difficult part is the middle part of the trail and it's easily done with a stock 4x4. I remember spotting once in this section.

Trail is clear but seeing nature encroaching the trail on the east end making it feel more narrow and shorter than usual. The west end is still about the same as it was since the loggers came in and cleared it.

Warloop road is still open. 2/3 of it has been improved for logging but it’s still worth the drive if you’re in the area.

Trail is destroyed. Entered from the west side, didn’t get very far and was met by a crew with an excavator. They told me the road is private and being graded for a logging road, and was forced to turn around.

Going west to east, the first half had some mud and a fallen tree that was able to be passed underneath easily. Rough, steep, and rocky on the first climb but doable in a stock-height TRD, only scraped the step rails a couple times passing rocks. Overall pretty fun drive, east to west would be an easier route.

Near the very beginning on the west end of the trail it used to be obstructed by a large tree. The tree is actually still there, but a lifted SUV can easily go under it.

Multiple trees down at the bottom of the hill north of the mud hole. No way around since it’s private property on both sides.
