This easy-going 17.5-mile gravel route serves as the starting leg of the TrailHawk Loop near Moro Bay State Park. Winding through the quiet pine forests and rolling farmlands of southern Arkansas, the trail is highly accessible for beginners, stock rigs, and scenic drivers. The flat, well-maintained roads feature minimal elevation changes, ranging from 79 to 168 feet. Although rated at a technical difficulty of 1, the gravel surface can become dusty in dry weather or slick and muddy during wet periods. Drivers should remain alert for active logging trucks, farm equipment, and loose cattle. Nearby Moro Bay State Park offers convenient camping, fishing, and boating.
