Trail Overview

Section 10 of The Arkansas Overlanding Route. A mix of pavement, gravel, and dirt that can be muddy and slick in areas when wet. This leads to many dispersed camping areas and Old Calion Lock and Dam. There is a full hookup area at The Calion Lock and Dam with flush toilets. You will pass several primitive camp areas before the Lock and dam that are big enough for group camping.

Some of these sections do have pavement. The sections make up a complete route of over 400 miles. If you can find a 400 mile route in Arkansas that doesn't have some pavement in it, let me know. Even the Texas Traverse has pavement in it.
