Scott Henderson Gulf Mountain WMA Access Road

The WMA Access Trail begins in the town of Scotland and leads into the Wildlife Management Area along a wide, winding gravel road that is maintained and relatively smooth. Several designated campsites can be found along the route, and an overnight stay at one revealed a peaceful atmosphere. However, caution is necessary, as the area is home to bears, snakes, and terrapins that often cross the trail. A valid camping, hunting, or fishing permit is required to stay overnight. Visitors should be aware that camping-only permits may not be sufficient during designated hunting weekends. The trail lacks amenities like trash disposal and water supply, but cell phone service is available.
