Rock Creek 1319

Rock Creek is an easy gravel road with creeks, campsites, and views for miles. It has eight spur trails for SxSs, ATVs, and 4x4 rigs. Griffin Mountain peaks at an elevation of 1004 feet giving you a taste of what the Ozarks has to offer. There are water crossings and lots of little creeks to play in along the way. The plant and wildlife species here are endless. One of which is a bird that sings all night long and can keep you up during the night. That is about the only downfall of this area. As it starts to warm up you will find snakes sunning themselves near the banks of creeks. Watch your step, the Ozark has cottonmouth and rattlesnake along with wild boar, turkey, skunk, armadillo, white-tailed deer, black bear, and many more. Pine trees and white oak line these forests, some of which are relics from the last ice age. Needless to say, this route is the start of your Ozark National Forest journey.
