Trail Overview

These two trails combine to make essentially one direct shot up to (or down from) Huckleberry Mountain. Starting from Huckleberry Mountain going north, the trail starts with a steep descent along a narrow trail with many water break humps as you travel downhill. Please take caution going either direction as there are limited passing opportunities for oncoming traffic.

Difficulty

The difficulty comes from the 800ft of elevation change, narrow trail, loose gravel, and multiple large humps. The trail goes from relatively mild to very challenging during wet weather as the hardpack dirt will turn into very slimy mud. The trail is also very narrow, so any oncoming traffic becomes a concern.

Majority of the trail was run in 2wd with my truck and is relatively easy but on the south end leads to a very difficult section connecting to eickleberry that is more like a 6 or a 7

Recently improved. Smooth easy green until the very end. Leads to a killer one track up hill black.

We have traveled up and down this trail multiple times. The trail is in quite a bit worse condition compared to what the pictures suggest. Some SXSs may need to take extra precautions. The more ground clearance the better. Some of the water bars are washed out with some ruts. Some larger rocks may be exposed on the trail. May be slippery and difficult to climb when wet. The last hump before reaching the top is the most difficult. Two large rocks have been exposed and you must go up the left side of the them with is the closest to the edge.
