Trail Overview
West Camp Wood Road East is a wide dirt road that provides one of the main access points to many areas of the Prescott National Forest. At times, this road may have washboard conditions, as well as blind curves, so please keep your speed in check and take caution. This road is well traveled, and it's not surprising to see many different types of vehicles on this road, as it supports everything from SXS's to Trucks with 5th wheels. There are no obstacles on this trail, as well as no service, so remember to download offline maps of the area before you head in, as much of the forest has no service available. On this road, you'll cross over washes and one-lane bridges, as well as burn scars that wildfires have left behind. This forest supports a vast array of wildlife, so don't be surprised if you see deer, antelope, jackrabbits, elk, and cattle.
Difficulty
This is an unmaintained road that has sections of washboard and washes. These washes may flood the road - please follow local signage. The road is wide with plenty of room to pass and is well traveled by locals, ranchers, and recreationists, so please adjust your speed accordingly, as it is dusty.
