Trail Overview
Watershed is a 50" trail near Prescott, Arizona that starts right off of the Senator Highway. There is a dirt parking lot at the northwest entrance to the trail for staging. Starting from the parking lot, you have to stay right for the motorized trail, as there is a non-motorized trail to the left. It immediately climbs up with some small rock ledges. These are rated a 4 difficulty for a dirt bike but would be much harder for an ATV. The climb is made up of chunky loose rock right away with 2 or 3 rocky ledges. Then it gets into the shade in the pine trees and smooths out a bit. There are still loose rocks, but no ledges. It comes to an intersection with 7 Mile Gulch, which is another intermediate ATV trail. Stay right to stay on Watershed. The trail climbs up from this intersection, and then mellows out on top of a ridgeline. The rest of the trail is pretty easy as it meanders through the forest. Although this trail looks like it is mostly used by dirt bikes, it is a decent width for ATVs and is rideable by ATVs looking for a challenge up those first rock ledges.
